About the event
Henrietta H. Fore is a recognized leader on the global stage. From 2018 to 2022, she served as Executive Director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), a $7 billion agency working in 192 countries and territories to save children's lives, defend their rights, and help them fulfil their potential. She is currently on several corporate boards and is a Board Trustee at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Before joining UNICEF, Ms. Fore held a number of high government posts, including Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development, Director of the U.S. Mint, and Undersecretary of State for Management. She served on the Boards of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and the Millennium Challenge Corporation. In 2009 Ms. Fore received the Distinguished Service Award, the highest award the Secretary of State can bestow, and in 2005 received the Alexander Hamilton Award, the Department of Treasury's highest honor.
Ms. Fore has a Bachelor of Arts in History from Wellesley College and a Master of Science in Public Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. She is a sailor and collector of antique Holsman Automobiles, as well as a lemon and avocado rancher in Santa Barbara, CA.
Professor Colleen Graffy is a law professor at Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law in Malibu, California. A former diplomat, she is a frequent commentator on television and radio on foreign policy, international law, and US politics and culture and has written for numerous publications.
